Easy: These routes average 25-35 miles per day. The terrain is mostly flat, and should pose no problem for anyone who has maintained a minimum level of fitness. You do not need to be a cyclist to enjoy these trips.
Moderate: These routes average 30-45 miles per day. The terrain is slightly more challenging that the previous level with some added vistas for the scenery enthusiast. These routes should pose no problem for anyone who exercises on a regular basis.
Challenging: Average distances are 40-60 miles per day. The terrain is very hilly with longer climbs. These tours are only suited for more experienced cyclists or people with highly developed levels of fitness.
WALKING TOURS: Ability Levels
Easy: The terrain is not strenuous, and should pose no problem for anyone who has maintained a minimum level of fitness. You do not need to be an avid walker to enjoy these trips.
Moderate: The terrain is slightly more challenging than the previous level with some added vistas for the scenery enthusiast. These routes should pose no problem for anyone who exercises on a regular basis.
Challenging: The terrain is mostly hilly with more difficult grades and occasional longer climbs. These tours are better suited for more experienced walkers or people with a higher level of fitness. |
