Day 1: The adventure begins in Málaga, a vibrant Mediterranean city with streets lined with flowers. After the travails of travel, we’ll use Yin Yoga to refresh, restore and rejuvenate the body, mind and soul.

Day 2:
In the morning, our Yoga postures will center on the Root Chakra and connect with the earth’s energy. Our cultural journey takes us to Ronda, an old Moorish town known for it bullfights, Hemingway and the dramatic ravine, EL TAJO. In the afternoon, we’ll relax with yoga postures designed for peace and restoration.

Day 3:   As the sun rises we’ll start the day with the Sun Salutation and learn how to “go with the flow.” Later, we’ll visit an extraordinary cave painted patterns, human figures and animals. We’ll also see some of the oldest pieces of pottery and human bones ever found in Europe.

Day 4: Using Yoga, we’ll jump-start the day with personal power and use solar energy to invigorate today’s challenging poses. Later, we’ll tour the village of Villanueva de la Concepción and climb to El Torcal, one of Europe’s most spectacular limestone formations.

Day 5: We’ll use the Fourth Heart Chakra to connect with peace and harmony. With the Heart Chakra open, we head for Málaga and visit the Picasso Museum. The afternoon is free to dine and shop and explore the city.

Day 6: We’ll work on the Fifth Throat Chakra, related to communication and located in the neck and shoulders. Later, we’ll tour an Olive Oil mill and take a trip to Almeria.

Day 7:
We’ll work on the Sixth Brow chakra, located between and just above the physical eyes, which is known as the spiritual Third Eye and considered the seat of intuition and clairvoyance. Then we’ll head out and visit the cork oak grove in Los Alcornocales Natural Park, a nature reserve located in Andalusia.

Day 8: We’ll work on the Seventh Crown Chakra, that connects us to divine intelligence and is considered the seat of enlightenment. We’ll practice an attunement exercise to align the chakras and experience the unifying essence of all creation. On our final field trip, we’ll travel back in time as we traverse the coastal road to Zahara de los Atunes and Barbate. We’ll visit Roman ruins in Bolonia, a town developed 2000 years BC as a maritime link to Tangier.

Day 9  Departures  In the morning, we will leave Spain, but take it with us, wherever we go, forever. Note: We can’t learn everything there is to know about Spain or yoga in a week, not even in an entire lifetime. Hopefully the workshops and tours will stimulate a desire to investigate these areas more deeply. For those interested, there will also be an opportunity on the adventure to learn star-gazing (for more information see the Star-gazing tour).
