Capture a sense of place and culture with your brush as you travel to Spain to paint in the villages that line the region of Andalucia. You will learn or improve the skills you already have with the guidance of award winning painter Philip Steel. Philip is a painter and a world traveler and has taught watercolor workshops in Italy, France, Scotland, England and on a Mediterranean cruise which visited Rome, Florence, Monte Carlo, Corsica, Palma de Mallorca, Casablanca, Cadiz, Lisbon in Portugal. Phil has illustrated a book for Evelyn Wilde Mayerson, author of "Miami Saga." Phil and Evelyn are documenting the fascinating history of commercial coastal fishermen.

Our painting adventure begins on the Mediterranean coast, in the city of Málaga, a great location with its main street lined with flower stands and the Picasso Museum right nearby. From here we travel to different destinations each day in order to capture the essence of this country on canvas and our evenings end in the quiet calm of our country manor house tucked away in the mountains.
General Description
We will shuttle you and your gear from Málaga to the pristine White Villages and the colorful towns nearby and back to your hotel for critiques each day. You will visit the incomparable city of Ronda, one of Hemingway’s favorite stomping grounds, a town perched high up on a cliff. The mountains, fishing ports, castles and olive groves of Spain will offer you many choices of locations for painting your masterpiece.
