The so called Luncar landscape is one of the most spectacular places on the island.  It is situated high within the Corona Forestal natural park, which circles the Teide National Park and is a perfect example of the effects of erosion on volcanic landscapes that give
rise o the strangest formations.  Lunar Landscape is an area of pumice and tough sediments that the occasional water torrent washes down the
slopes into the valley.  This process has carved ut a smalll canyon at an elevation between 600 meters and 2000 meters.  At both "mouths" of this canyon bizarre erosion structures are proof of this natural phenomenon.
