March 21 - 28 2010
8 days/7nights $3,400
Travel with us to the South of Spain and
visit the most important ecosystems in the province of Seville.
- Learn photography techniques that will maximize your chances of returning with images that don't just document what you've seen but are worthy of hanging on your wall.
- You will travel on this adventure with a crew of unparalleled experts who will anticipate your needs.
- More importantly, you will enter and experience protected natural habitats
that are not open to the public and can only be seen with us!
- All the spectacular areas we visit will provide the novice as well as the expert photographer the opportunity to see and capture many of the 360 species we may encounter during the 7 day workshop.
Doñana is a symbol for all nature lovers, and especially for photographers. It is a wetland environment managed by man and transformed into a mosaic of marshland, pastures, forest, rivers, brooks and meadows. It is also one of the greatest sanctuarys in Europe for birds such as the Spanish Imperial Eagle and the Purple Heron.
We ride through the amazingly vast grain fields, an area which is considered Seville’s “breadbasket” where m any bird species feed. The dominant fauna is only one outstanding characteristic of the plateau. Here we have the opportunity to photograph species that are emblematic in this ecosystem; among them the Great Bustard, the Little Bustard and the Red Kite.
We pass Cork trees, Mediterranean bushes, hills covered with carob trees, riv e r banks, cliffs and crop fields where you will discover the Chaffinch, the Hoopoe, the Long-tailed Tit, the Glossy ibis, the Booted Eagle, Bonneli’s Eagle or the Griffon Vulture, among several others.
